The word “paradox” speaks volumes. It embodies the unexpected, the unusual, and the extraordinary. A paradox - conflicting ideas placed side by side - creates much intrigue and interest. It stands out and makes such bold and illustrious statements. This is why Equator Academy of Art’s graduating class has chosen to theme their graduation exhibition so. This batch of talented, graduating individuals feel that the theme best describes their spirit and character as well as represents what they each strive to achieve in their respective careers.
Behind every successful man is a woman, and we at Equator like to think that behind every successful establishment is a designer. The significance of artists and designers in fields such as manufacturing, advertising, retail, and even real estate can no longer be denied as more and more companies seek to include such individuals in their payroll. Graphic designers are especially indispensable these days, for their expertise is much needed in designing and developing of computer games, software, and icons.
The graduation exhibition was held from March 28th to March 30th, 11 AM to 10 PM at the Straits Quay Convention Centre (SQCC), Tanjong Tokong, Penang. This exhibition showcased our graduating students’ final projects from several diploma programmes:
- Diploma in Fine Art
- Diploma in 3D Animation
- Diploma in Graphic and Multimedia Design
- Diploma in Fashion Design Technology
- Diploma in Interior Design
- Diploma in Architectural Technology
